Clinic at Chung-Ang University
The clinic at Chung-Ang University was opened in Seoul in 1968, and has been contributing to the development of Korean medicine for almost half a century. In 2004, the clinic moved to a beautiful new building with a more pleasant environment for the treatment of patients. In 2009, Dusan Group, the largest heavy industry corporation, became the main sponsor of Chung-Ang University and Chung-Ang University Clinic, giving the clinic even more opportunities for development and prosperity.
The 15-storey central building of the clinic includes 3 basement floors, next to it is the second Tajongwan building, consisting of 10 floors. The clinic has 845 beds, 23 departments. The number of working staff is about 2000 people, including 130 doctors. The clinic has the latest medical equipment and a perfect infrastructure for the transfer and storage of medical information.
Specialized centers for the thyroid gland, spine, gastroenterology, cardiovascular surgery play a particularly leading role in the treatment of patients, and the active support of specialist doctors is constantly provided. Thanks to this, since 2007, for 3 years, the clinic has been awarded the highest rating in the category "Emergency Medical Facility" from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Korea. In 2012, the clinic received the highest award in the field of healthcare and industry of the Republic of Korea, as well as an award in the category "Management focused on patients."In 2008, an international medical department was opened in the clinic to provide services to foreign patients using the clinic's services. Coordinators-translators of Russian, Mongolian, English provide translation services from the beginning to the end of treatment. Especially for hospitalized patients, a national menu is provided, as well as accompaniment with a 1: 1 coordinator. Thanks to the efforts of the international department, the number of patients increased markedly from 2011 to 2012. There is a large flow of patients from Russia and Mongolia. In 2012, the number of foreign patients visiting the clinic was over 1,000.
